| The wife of a California radiologist accused of intentionally driving his Tesla off a 330-foot cliff with her and their two young children inside earlier this year told authorities he plunged off the precipice “on purpose,” newly unsealed documents reveal. The wife of Dr. Dharmesh Patel, 41, repeatedly told police that he drove off a cliff on the Pacific Coast Highway in January on purpose because he was "depressed," according to documents unsealed yesterday. Everyone in the car, including the children, who were 4 and 7, survived the wreck, and Patel has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder. Here's the latest. |

Dr. Stephen Leatherman, better known as Dr. Beach, unveiled his list of the top 10 beaches in the U.S. Dr. Beach has been compiling a list of the best of America's 650 public beaches for 33 years. "You've got to have clean sand, clean water and a safe beach," he said on TODAY. "Otherwise, they’re not gonna end up on the list." He also discussed the smelly seaweed phenomenon that knocked some regulars off the lineup this year. The winner for 2023 is St. George Island State Park in the Florida Panhandle.
