For Berlin-based researcher Laura Ranca, The Wayback Machine has been imperative to her work—using the tool to research environmental issues, Ranca discovered material that reflects missed early warning signs, including 20-year-old mining reports, video footage, and other documentation used in making the case for climate action. The Great 78 Project partners with BGSU’s Music and Sound Archives
This Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives is one of the largest collections of popular music at an academic institution in the United States—and they've partnered with the Internet Archive! We will be digitizing over 100,000 discs in one of the largest collections ever processed by the Great 78 Project: a program dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of these records made in the early 20th century.
