Now that I have EndeavourOS (KDE) running for a little over a week, I thought it would be good to register here in the forum. I’ve been using Linux for a few years now, the last three of them Manjaro, before that Linux Nint, Ubuntu and various attempts with others (SUSE, Fedora). Through Manjaro I found out that I like Arch-based environments, but not necessarily Manjaro. Too many little problems in the last months and a partly not very pleasant community.
Hey guys, out of curiosity because I want to learn: What is the process of creating a new Linux OS from the base up? What I’d do so far is to build a new OS following Linux from Scratch and once that is done, create an ISO from the existing system. Is this a good/common approach? Hi, I am the newbiest newbie you can think of, regarding EndeavourOS. Yesterday I installed EndeavorOS rolling Xfce 4.18 Gtk 3.2.4.37 Kernel now 6.2.2-arch1-1.Installation from EndeavourOS_Cassini_Nova-03-2023.iso. Installation (multiboot, or better neighborboot) was easy, so were the first updates; e.g., I got my WiFi network working smoothly. But now, all these errors! Before I go into Detail I should add I use decade-long multiboot with Ubuntu, Debian and Windows. Now sits EndeavourOS besides these fellows on my HP laptop HP 15s-eq1445ng. Those deb-distros got me spoiled, certainly. This ny first experience with aur, pacman etc.
After very long time I configured with the looks of my desktop. So I decided to go with dark theme with dark wallpaper, as I had forgotten the skills which I was using earlier :
