What happens after the beta?
When the beta test is completed, the release version of the new SoftMaker Office will be available. You can then order the new version or continue working with your old version.
Will there still be an option to either purchase the software or take out a subscription?
Yes. About half of the customers prefer subscriptions, the others want to buy the software permanently. That's why there will be both a subscription version (SoftMaker Office NX) and a version for purchase (SoftMaker Office 2024).

To do this, go to the list of your licenses in the Customer Center, find your license of SoftMaker Office 2021 or 2018 and click Actions on the right. There you choose "Convert to subscription".
