A plane belonging to Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Russian mercenary leader who led an armed revolt against Vladimir Putin's government, arrived in Belarus today, according to a flight-tracking website. It was not immediately known if Prigozhin was on the flight. The whereabouts of the head of the Wagner Group have been unknown since he struck a deal with Putin's government allegedly allowing him to go to Belarus in exchange for halting his rebel forces as they marched on Moscow. A criminal investigation by Russian authorities into the armed revolt ended with with no charges against Prigozhin or any others, The Associated Press reported. Putin called the rebels "traitors" in a televised address yesterday, while Prigozhin claimed he was just protecting his army from being destroyed by the Russian defense ministry. Here's the latest.
