The question (asked anonymously) is: "What horrifying facts do you know about the Greeks?"

I personally know three horrifying facts about the Greeks:

1. In July 1988, I was travelling with 15 other French students in Greece. One night we were sleeping on the roof of the hotel (which was full) under the open sky. Quite stupidly, I had not taken a blanket with me: "No need! It is a Mediterranean country". By 6:00 in the morning it was pretty cold. An employee of the hotel passed by on the roof, saw how I was cold and without a word put a blanket over me and I was not cold anymore. :blush:

2. In July 2018, I bought comics in Greek at a famous bookshop in Athens, first by post and then by visiting the shop. Seeing me struggling to write and speak the language, the owner generously added more books in Greek each time. It was also very pleasant to meet her. :blush:

3- My parents, elderly people, once saw and smelled beautiful flowers on the wall of a house in a small Greek village. They were very surprised when the inhabitants spontaneously gave them the flowers (they had not asked for them). :blush:

So, what is so horrifying about the Greeks? Well, when you think about it and understand that you will NOT experience such nice behaviour in most other European countries ...
