An arrest warrant was issued for a Missouri man who shot a teenager who rang the wrong doorbell.
The Missouri man who shot a teenager who rang the wrong doorbell while trying to pick up his younger brothers was charged with two felony counts yesterday, officials said. Andrew Lester, a white man in his 80s, has been charged with assault in the first degree and armed criminal action in the April 13 shooting of Ralph Yarl, 16. Lester, who is not yet in custody, allegedly opened fire with a .32 revolver, striking Yarl in the head and once in the arm. Yarl was shot after his parents asked him to pick up his 11-year-old twin brothers and he mistakenly went to the wrong home in Kansas City, police said. Yarl was released from the hospital Saturday and is recovering at home, his family said. A former teacher described the boy as a gifted student and a "gentle soul." A neighbor who ran out of his house to help the wounded teen told NBC News, "He didn't deserve to get shot." Here's the latest.

They had to reconstruct her tongue using grafts from her left arm and leg. The diagnosis was stunning because, for decades, tongue cancer patients were mostly men over 60 who smoked and drank heavily. “We’ve started to see anecdotally in the last 10 years ... a shift to a younger age group, I mean below the age of 40, unrelated to previous drinking and smoking history,” her doctor told TODAY.com.
