The victims of a racially motivated shooting were remembered at a vigil in Jacksonville.
Three people who were killed by a gunman in a racially motivated shooting at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday were remembered by residents and faith leaders at a vigil yesterday. “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired,” a City Council member said. “They didn’t deserve this.” Angela Michelle Carr, 52; Anolt Joseph “AJ” Laguerre Jr., 19; and Jarrald De’Shaun Gallion, 29, were killed by Ryan Palmeter, 21, who then fatally shot himself, police said. The three victims were Black and Palmeter, was white. The Jacksonville sheriff called him a “maniac” who "hated Black people" and left messages of hate for the Black community. Here's the latest.
