The lights have been on at a Massachusetts school for over a year because no one can turn them off.
The future has been a little too bright at one Massachusetts school. The roughly 7,000 indoor and outdoor lights at Minnechaug Regional High School have been on continuously for more than a year because the district can't turn them off. The lights have remained on since the software that runs the system failed on Aug. 24, 2021 — all at a cost to taxpayers. The problem is expected to be fixed next month now that parts needed to replace the system have arrived from China after being delayed by supply chain issues. "And yes, there will be a remote override switch so this won’t happen again,” one official told NBC News.

He gives his advice on tipping, handling dirty menus, moving tables, sending food back and more. Trust us, his advice will keep you from being the group that has the staff rolling their eyes and saying "Oh, it's them again." See the tips on what not to do here.
WHAT'S FOR DINNER?

Celebrate Lunar New Year on Sunday while enjoying these pork and prawn dumplings from cookbook author Ching-He Huang. The dumplings are a tradition for Chinese New Year because they are a symbol of prosperity (and a tasty mix of soft dough and zesty pork). Ching-He also shared another traditional dish called yusheng, also known as "Prosperity Toss." It's basically a cold noodle salad you toss with chopsticks while wishing each other good health, prosperity and luck. Get the recipes here.

A little pick-me-up before you go.
Proud "sad beige" parents, please stand up! Lately, it feels like color blandness is sweeping the internet and social media, with parents flaunting their neutral tone furniture, baby gear and clothing in muted shades of tan, mustard and gray. The trend has sparked some parents to call for more bright colors at home. Hayley DeRoche, creator of the "Official Sad Beige" parody account, joked the aesthetic's wood toys and plain clothes turn kids into "small Proust scholars, devoid of joy, mouths downturned and laughter a distant memory." Many "beige moms" are in on the joke, but that doesn't mean they're trading in their rattan chairs and off-white couches any time soon. "I'm a beige mom, but I'm a good mom," one enthusiast told us.
