Intrakat_Official 's project: "Waste Processing Unit of Serres (MEA)" contributes to the collection and management of mixed waste, in the first years of its operation, for the wider region of Central Macedonia and is proving to be particularly important!

The unit implements a modern, high-tech waste management system, one of the best in Europe, which includes technologies of mechanical sorting and biological treatment, through composting. It was designed and built to receive 63,000 tons of mixed waste annually from the Municipal green bin networks of the Municipalities of the Prefecture of Serres and the Municipality of Kilkis. Of the nominal capacity of 63,000 tons, 3,000 tons per year is pre-sorted organic waste.
