Dear Tapatalk Community,

Over a decade ago, I founded Tapatalk with a vision to connect online forums via a standalone mobile app. Along the way, we partnered with venture investors to help us scale and reach more users like you. Their support was instrumental in our growth, and together, we achieved many milestones.

However, as with any journey, there are times when we must reassess our direction to ensure we stay true to our original mission. With that in mind, I am thrilled to announce that I have bought back Tapatalk from our venture investors. This decision was made with a singular focus: to ensure that new technologies are available to traditional online forums, not just to big social media players.

What does this mean for you?

We are returning to the roots of our original vision. This means a renewed emphasis on the simplicity of our service, and a team to focus solely on the most important aspects.

In the past few weeks, you might have noticed changes aimed at simplifying our offerings. We've retired some services that were distractions or weren't adding value to forum owners. We continue to review existing offerings and practices that no longer align with our original vision.

For the Tapatalk Mobile App, your Tapatalk plugin will continue to function, and you can expect regular updates to enhance your member’s experience. While we're still adjusting to this significant change in company ownership, we're eager to hear your suggestions on how we can further improve the service for your forums.

For Tapatalk Groups, we remain committed to preserving the essence of traditional online forum experiences. Your community on Tapatalk Group will remain unaffected. We're keen to receive your feedback to ensure we're on the right track and to involve you in the future success of the online community.
